We celebrated World Book Day on Friday 4th March. Our pupils dressed up as their favourite book character or wore their pyjamas and brought their favourite book to school. Throughout the day the children completed a range of activities. The day began with a 'Big Breakfast Read' with Miss Trunchball (Mrs Tracey) and finished with a whole school quiz. This year we also completed the 'Extreme Read Challenge', lots of great pictures, well done everyone! We also launched our 'Big Read Initiative", during Lent we are encouraging all our children to read more. Children are being asked to complete reading logs with a book and word count taking place Easter week for those that have read the most books and words. All details have already been sent to parents.
