In St.Brigid's we use the SMART Rules provided by Childnet to teach the children about Internet Safety.
S-Keep Safe by not sharing your personal information (name, address, mobile number) to anyone online.
M-meeting someone you only know online can be dangerous, always speak to parents first.
A-accepting emails, texts or picture messages from people you don't know or trust can cause problems.
R-information online may not be real, true or someone may not be who they say they are.
T-tell a parent, carer or trusted adult if someone or something makes you feel uncomfortable or worried.
We are delighted to be working with Knowsley City Learning Centre which are providing us with information on how to stay safe online. This includes a monthly Newsletter which will be shared with parents. The newsletter touches on different platforms and apps every month which are popoular among children at that time. Newsletters and any additional information will be uploaded here.
