St Brigid's Primary School Mountfield are taking part in the 'Active School Travel Programme' with SUSTRANS. The three year programme involves St Brigid's teachers and pupils working with SUSTRANS Education Officers Anne-Marie and Richard to develop their understanding of cycling skills, bicycle maintenance, the importance/benefits of exercise and of how to travel safely on the roads.

We have taken part in a number of events such as Ditch the Dark, Big Pedal Challenge, Journey to Santa, Feet First Families and SUSTRANS whole school assemblies. We were delighted to achieve the SUSTRANS Silver award and look forward to working hard towards gold.
