Sean from Holding History visited our Key Stage 2 classroom for an exciting Viking workshop. The children were captivated as he introduced a range of authentic Viking artefacts and shared fascinating facts about life during that time. They had the unique opportunity to see and hold real examples of Viking weapons, including swords and axes, while learning how these were used in battle. Sean also explained the importance of protection, showing the pupils a Viking helmet and armour, and discussing how each piece kept warriors safe. The hands-on experience brought the topic to life, sparking curiosity and enthusiasm throughout the session.
