As part of Maths Week activities the whole school traveled to the Gortin Glens Forest Park to participate in a range of maths activities outdoor. Thank you to the guides who had planned and prepared an action packed day of maths for us all. The children made their way around the forest park using all areas of numeracy along the way. Some of the activities involved making shapes from twigs, finding different size and shaped leaves followed by orienteering. We were also lucky enough to spot some deer along the way. The day was finished of with a visit to the newly refurbished play park.
